Philippians 2:6-7
Jesus Christ’s state was divine, yet he did not cling to his equality with God but emptied himself to assume the condition of a slave and the form of a man; and he became as men are.
Man is an exception, whatever else he is. If he is not the image of God, then he is a disease of the dust. If it is not true that a divine being fell, then we can only say that one of the animals went entirely off its head.
